All Mistfall Hunter classes

Six classes cover frontline, ranged damage, stealth burst, healing, control, and tanking. The important choice is not a letter grade—it is which weakness you are willing to manage.

Frontline · control

Mercenary

The cleanest first hunt

A durable melee all-rounder with a defensive Sword and Shield branch and an aggressive Hammer branch. Mercenary gives new players room to learn blocking, spacing, extraction pressure, and team fights without demanding perfect execution.

Sorcerer

Win the fight before it reaches you

A ranged caster with Elemental and Stardust schools plus a shared set of barriers, stealth, scouting, and escape magic. Sorcerer brings excellent area control and backline damage, but chants, cooldowns, and low durability punish poor positioning.

Blackarrow

Make distance do the work

A bow specialist built around charged shots, special arrows, tracking, traps, and disengage tools. Blackarrow can start a fight from favorable ground and keep melee classes paying for every step forward.

Shadowstrix

Choose the moment, then disappear

A high-risk assassin that turns stealth, fast movement, poison, and repeated dashes into short elimination windows. Dagger emphasizes ambush and backstabs; Dual Blades replaces some surprise with sustained combo pressure.

Seer

Two doctrines, two different jobs

A hybrid class split between Reverent support with a Catalyst and Blasphemer dueling with a Mace. Reverent is the launch roster's clearest healer; Blasphemer gives up much of that team utility for drain, gap closing, and burst windows.

Withered Knight

Execute alone, protect together

A heavy melee class with two unusually clear jobs: Greatsword applies Wither and hunts executions, while Polearm and Shield gives a Trio a barrier, peel, and ally protection. The defensive branch received official launch-day buffs.

Path before points

Weapons and specializations

Commit early points to the weapon or doctrine that matches the job. Splitting scarce progression across incompatible paths slows both.

Blackarrow launch note: its two entries are Bow arrow kits, not two live weapons. Bellring Games said the class's new weapon would arrive in a future season.

How to change class

A Mobalytics launch guide reports that the class-change option becomes available from Dew after completing the quest immediately after the tutorial. That means the first selection matters, but it is not permanent.

  • Put valuable carried items into storage before changing.
  • Expect a Gyldenblod fee that increases with level.
  • A cooldown applies before another switch; the wait is shorter at lower levels.
  • A short reversion period lets you switch back without another fee.

Practical move: use the practice area and early low-cost switches to test attack cadence and mobility. Do not spend a deep Talent plan before the weapon loop feels right.

Roster answers

Class FAQ

What are the six Mistfall Hunter classes?

The launch roster is Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, Shadowstrix, Seer, and Withered Knight.

Which Mistfall Hunter classes are ranged?

Blackarrow is the physical ranged specialist and Sorcerer is the magic ranged specialist. Seer is a hybrid because Reverent uses a Catalyst while Blasphemer uses a Mace.

Can each class use every weapon?

No. Class identity and skills are tied to specific weapons or schools. Several classes have two distinct paths, such as Mercenary's Sword and Shield versus Hammer and Withered Knight's Greatsword versus Polearm and Shield.

How do you change class in Mistfall Hunter?

A current launch guide reports that the option unlocks through Dew after the tutorial follow-up quest. Switching has a fee and cooldown, with a short reversion period for switching back.
