Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which guides are read, which class filters and quiz results are useful, and which site improvements reduce confusion. Events are deliberately low-cardinality: page view, class result, comparison filter, theme change, and outbound destination. The site does not send email addresses, feedback text, or other free-form user input to GA4.

For visitors whose Cloudflare country code indicates the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, Google Consent Mode initializes analytics storage as denied. GA4 may receive cookieless measurement pings, but analytics cookies are not granted by this site. For other visitors, analytics storage may be granted after the regional check. Advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalization, and Google signals remain disabled.

The site does not interrupt visitors with a consent pop-up. Regional storage controls run before the analytics configuration is completed.

Cloudflare

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and may process network information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, user agent, and security signals in its infrastructure logs. The `/api/geo` endpoint reads Cloudflare's two-letter country code only to choose the analytics-storage mode. Its response is marked private and no-store, and the site does not save that country code in its own database.

Theme preference

The light/dark theme switch stores one value named mhc-theme in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device so the next page uses the same theme. Removing site data from your browser deletes it.

Email and feedback

Feedback links use a normal mailto: action and open your email application. The website does not receive the message until you choose to send it. Email delivery and storage then involve your email provider, our forwarding provider, and Gmail. Do not include account credentials, payment information, or other secrets.

Retention

GA4 event-level data is configured for a 14-month retention period; aggregated reports may remain available under Google's reporting behavior. Cloudflare and email providers apply their own operational and security retention rules. We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to answer, correct the site, or maintain a record of the request.

Your choices

• Block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser.
• Use a browser or extension that blocks analytics requests.
• Do not send an email if you do not want to provide your address.
• Ask about or request deletion of correspondence we control by emailing the address below.
